During the transition between election and inauguration, Trump associates have phone conversations with foreign leaders. Those conversations are recorded by US intelligence agencies and turned into secret intelligence reports…

Former Obama National Security Advisor, Susan Rice, is accused of “unmasking” the names of Trump team members contained in those US intelligence reports and illegally leaking their names to the press. Bloomberg reports: “One U.S. official familiar with the reports said they contained valuable political information on the Trump transition such as whom the Trump team was meeting, the views of Trump associates on foreign policy matters and plans for the incoming administration.”

In other words, US intelligence agencies, under Obama, were spying on Trump associates—and Rice obtained the names of those associates, which are supposed to be kept confidential.

Leaking the names to the press, in the current political atmosphere, would result in the impression that Trump associates were having improper conversations with foreign leaders, or even “colluding” with them. Lots of innuendo here.

El presidente de EEUU ha recibido una humillación sin precedentes en China, adonde ha viajado para asistir a la reunión del G-20, algo de lo que los medios de comunicación quizás no se han hecho eco adecuadamente. 

Los hechos se han producido curiosamente, después de que el presidente norteamericano y el chino comparecieran conjuntamente este sábado 3 de septiembre, sellando su compromiso para abordar el problema del cambio climático. 

Según los reporteros desplazados para cubrir la cumbre, se produjo un choque diplomático entre funcionarios chinos y norteamericanos, en el que se vio implicada la asesora de seguridad nacional, Susan Rice, y que degeneró en una discusión “poco diplomática” por parte de un miembro de la delegación china y miembros de la delegación norteamericana.

LA HUMILLACIÓN

Todo comenzó con el aterrizaje del avión del presidente norteamericano, el Air Force One, en el aeropuerto internacional de Hangzhou-Xiaoshan: según informa la agencia AP, no había ninguna escalera que permitiera a Obama bajar del avión y descender hasta la alfombra roja. 

Dicho de otra manera: a los funcionarios chinos no les dio la gana de enviar una escalera al pie del Air Force One, para que el presidente norteamericano pudiera realizar el ya típico descenso de la escalinata saludando hasta la alfombra roja, grabado y fotografiado por los medios de comunicación de su país. 

Ante la falta de escaleras para bajar a la pista, Obama se vio obligado a utilizar una salida alternativa de emergencia del avión, lo que representa un gesto humillante claro por parte de las autoridades

Last week Obama took to his teleprompter to tell the American people the United States will provide lethal aid to “moderate” mercenaries fighting in Syria to overthrow the al-Assad government.

Obama’s declaration was nothing new. In September, the mercenaries said they were receiving weapons from the United States. Obama had promised the arms a few months earlier but the media insisted “U.S. officials are still grappling with what type and how much weaponry to send the opposition forces and how to ensure it stays out of the hands of extremists battling for control of Syria,” the Associated Press reported.

In September IHS Jane’s, a defense consultancy, estimated “there are around 10,000 jihadists — who would include foreign fighters — fighting for powerful factions linked to al-Qaeda.”

Around “30,000 to 35,000… hardline Islamists… focused purely on the Syrian war rather than a wider international struggle” are participating in the proxy war while “at least a further 30,000 moderates belonging to groups that have an Islamic character, meaning only a small minority of the rebels are linked to secular or purely nationalist groups” are involved in the fighting, The Telegraph reported.

“The moderates, often underfunded, fragmented and chaotic, appear no match for Islamist units, which include fighters from organizations designated ‘terrorist’ by the United States,” Reuters reported last June.
