The FBI raided the home of a prominent Department of Justice whistleblower who turned over critical documents regarding Clinton Foundation and Uranium One deals to a government watchdog group. The whistleblower’s attorney confirmed the FBI raid late last night.
The whistleblower’s documents allegedly reveal the potential for criminal activity involving former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, Clinton’s foundation, a Russian company who purchased Uranium One, and Rosatom. The documents also show a potential lapse in prosecutorial or investigatory activity on the part of then-FBI Director Robert Mueller.

According to the report, the FBI used 16 agents to raid the home of Dennis Nathan Cain. Cain was at one time an FBI contract worker. The FBI’s raid took place on November 19th in Union Bridge, Maryland, where Cain currently resides.
The FBI’s Baltimore division claims Cain possessed stolen federal property.
“On Nov. 19, the FBI conducted court-authorized law enforcement activity in the Union Bridge, Maryland area,” bureau spokesman Dave Fitz told The Daily Caller.
At the time of the raid, Cain noted his rightful protection as having whistleblower status under the Intelligence Community Whistleblower Protection Act. He claimed to agents that this status was accepted by Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz.
The Bureau’s lead agent ordered his team to carry out the raid in spite of Cain’s statements. According to Cain’s attorney, he handed over the documents out of fear.
“After asking and getting my approval to do so, DOJ IG Michael Horowitz had a member of his staff physically take Mr. Cain’s classified document disclosure to the House and Senate Intelligence committees,” Socarras said.
“For the bureau to show up at Mr. Cain’s home suggesting that those same documents are stolen federal property, and then proceed to seize copies of the same documents after being told at the house door that he is a legally protected whistleblower who gave them to Congress, is an outrageous disregard of the law,” he continued.
Socarras says that Cain was in possession of highly-critical and “explosive” documents that he obtained during his time as a contract worker with the FBI. According to the same report, Cain handed over a flash drive containing the documents to Inspector General Horowitz’s office at a church near the White House. Cain wore a hoodie and dark glasses and sat in a church pew for the meeting.
The IG’s office granted Cain whistleblower status at that time.
And it gets worse. The FBI contacted Cain following the raid to discuss the findings.
“After the raid, and having received my name and phone number from Mr. Cain as his lawyer, an FBI agent actually called my client directly to discuss his seized electronics,” Socarras told TheDCNF. “Knowingly bypassing the lawyer of a represented client is serious misconduct.”
