9/11 Hero Firefighter Dies From Rare Lung Disease Contracted from WTC Dust

A hero firefighter who bravely served on September 11th alongside hundreds of other first responders has died of a rare lung condition, and was laid to rest yesterday.

FDNY Lt Martin Fullam contracted polymyositis in 2005, and had also suffered from pulmonary fibrosis, which left him breathless and exhausted after the simplest of tasks.

The late firefighter, 56, was one of the men carrying fatally wounded FDNY Chaplain Mychal Judge through the still-smoking rubble on 9/11.

Un héroe bombero que valientemente sirvió el 11 de septiembre junto a otros cientos que fueron los primeros en responder ha muerto por una rara condición pulmonar y fue enterrado ayer.

FDNY Lt Martin Fullam contrajo polimiositis en 2005 y también sufrió de fibrosis pulmonar, que lo dejaba exhausto y sin aliento después de un trabajo simple.

El bombero muerto , 56, fue uno de los hombres que cargó al herido fatal FDNY Chaplain Mychal Judge a través de los aun humeantes escombros del 9/11.
