Surprising #Strategy Deployed by Major #Bank Against #COVID19 #Infection

(NaturalHealth365) As the confirmed cases of coronavirus continue to rise around the world – especially within the United States, experts continue to look for effective ways to treat the virus. As you may already know, clinical trials on a variety of potential treatment options – such as azithromycin and hydroxychloroquine – are already in progress, but it’s possible that something as simple as high amounts of vitamin C could be quite effective at avoiding the threat of COVID-19.

For example, in some areas of the world, vitamin C is actually being given away to people in response to the coronavirus infection. Although surprising to many people, you have to wonder why did a major banking company offer vitamin C to their employees?

We’ve even reported on the successful use of high-dose IV vitamin C as a treatment for the virus in China. More recently, medical teams in New York City began using IV vitamin C on patients with COVID-19. The problem (here in the U.S.) is that healthcare providers are not offering enough to make a significant difference, in our opinion.

Both Singapore and Hong Kong give away vitamin C in response to the COVID-19 pandemic

In Singapore, when a staff member at DBS Bank tested positive for coronavirus, the employees that

worked on that floor were required to vacate the premises to begin working at home. Along with disinfecting all common areas in the workplace, DBS also sent out care packages to employees. These care packages included hand sanitizer, a thermometer, masks, and – interestingly – vitamin C tablets.

Singapore isn’t the only place giving out free vitamin C. According to the Straights Times, Hong Kong is also on board the “vitamin C train.” In fact, photos show long lines of people in Hong Kong lined up to receive free hand sanitizer and vitamin C tablets.

Why this makes sense for the U.S. government, as well

As other areas in the world are realizing the importance of vitamin C in the fight against COVID-19, the U.S. government should consider doing the same. Reports from China have already indicated that high amounts of vitamin C help manage and prevent the virus from doing too much damage.

In New York, when critical care doctors have administered “higher than normal” amounts of IV vitamin C multiple times a day, they’ve seen significant improvements in patients compared to the patients who did not receive vitamin C, as reported in the New York Post.

Along with those ‘coronavirus checks’ that will be going out to many Americans, the government should consider sending bottles of vitamin C supplementation out along with them. Researchers have long known that this vitamin has a powerful effect on the immune system, and it’s being shown to be a powerful force in the fight against COVID-19.

Of course, you can always take steps to increase your vitamin C intake at home. Foods high in vitamin C include citrus fruits, broccoli, red peppers, and broccoli.

However, you’ll likely need far more vitamin C than you can get from diet alone to give your immune system the help it needs – especially if you’re feeling the effects of COVID-19. Some integrative healthcare providers recommend taking 2,000 mg – 2 to 3 times per day, and if you’re beginning to feel sick, aim to get an initial dose of 3,000 to 6,000 mg and then follow up with additional doses of 1 – 2,000 mg per hour for several days or at least until a day after symptoms have gone away.
