Italia fue escogida como un blanco de prueba por el Comité de los 300. Italia es importante para el plan de los conspiradores, porque es el país europeo más cercano a Medio Oriente y ligado económicamente y políticamente a esta región. También es el hogar de la Iglesia Católica, a la que Weishaupt ordenó destruir, y hogar de algunas de las más poderosas familias oligarcas de la antigua Nobleza Negra. Si Italia se hubiera debilitado con la muerte de Aldo Moro, hubiera tenido repercusiones en el Medio Oriente, y hubiera debilitado la influencia norteamericana en la región. Italia es importante por otra razón; es una entrada para las droga que ingresa a Europa desde Irán y Líbano.

Varios grupos combinados bajo el nombre de socialismo, han derrocado a varios gobiernos italianos desde que el Club de Roma fue establecido en 1968. Entre estos están la Nobleza Negra de Venecia y Génova, la Masonería de la P2 y las Brigadas Rojas, todas trabajando juntas para alcanzar las mismas metas. Investigadores de la policía en Roma trabajando en las Brigadas Rojas sobre el “caso de Aldo
Moro”, se toparon con nombres de varias familias prominentes de Italia trabajando muy de cerca con el grupo terrorista. La policía también encontró evidencia que en al menos una docena de casos, estas poderosas y prominentes familias han cedido sus casas y/o propiedades para que se utilicen como refugios para las células de las Brigadas Rojas. 

Peccei dirigió el Consejo Económico del Instituto Atlántico por tres décadas, mientras era el Consejero Delegado para la Fiat Motor Company de Giovanni Agnelli. Agnelli, un miembro de una antigua familia de la Nobleza Negra Italiana del mismo nombre, fue uno de los más importantes miembros del Comité de los 300. Él jugó un importante papel desarrollando proyectos en la Unión Soviética. El Club de Roma es una organización tapadera de la conspiración, un matrimonio entre financieros Anglo-Americanos y las viejas familias europeas de la Nobleza Negra, particularmente las llamadas “noblezas” de Londres, Venecia y Génova. Una técnica de ablandamiento para las grandes cosas por venir, esto es su principal método para re-crear masas de personas alrededor del mundo, que eventualmente se convertirán en las receptoras de bienestares futuros.

Introdujeron nuevos cultos, y potenciaron los ya existentes – como la música Rock de los “Rolling Stones” de Mick Jagger (favorecidos por la Nobleza Negra Europea), y Tavistock creó grupos de “Rock” comenzando por los “Beatles”. Ellos continuaron construyendo el culto al fundamentalismo Cristiano – comenzando con el sirviente de la Compañía Británica de las Indias Orientales Darby – que sería mal utilizado para fortalecer al estado sionista de Israel. Esto es lo que los Cristianos identifican como “judíos” (actualmente Jázaros Talmudistas), a través del mito de que ellos son “la gente elegida por Dios”; y donando grandes cantidades de dinero a causas religiosas que ellos erróneamente creen fomentarán el Cristianismo. 

Zbigniew Brzezinski no estaba escribiendo como un ciudadano privado, sino como el Consejero de la Seguridad Nacional de Carter, un miembro destacado del Club de Roma, un miembro del Comité de los 300, un miembro de la CFR, y como miembro de la antigua Nobleza Negra Polaca. En su libro explica cómo Norte América debe dejar su base industrial y entrar en lo que él llama “una diferente y nueva era histórica”

Italy was chosen as a test-target by the Committee of 300. Italy is important to the conspirators' plans, because it is the closest European country to the Middle East and linked to Middle East economics and politics. It is also the home of the Catholic Church, which Weishaupt ordered destroyed, and home for some of Europe's most powerful oligarchical families of the ancient Black Nobility. Should Italy have been weakened by Aldo Moro's death, it would have had repercussions in the Middle East, which would have weakened US influence in the region. Italy is important for another reason; it is a gateway for drugs entering Europe from Iran and Lebanon. 

Various groups combined under the name of socialism, to bring about the downfall of several Italian governments since the Club of Rome was established in 1968. Among these are the Black Nobility of Venice and Genoa, P2 Masonry and the Red Brigades, all working for the same goals. Police investigators in Rome working on the Red Brigades' "Aldo Mora case", came across the names of several very prominent Italian families working closely with this terrorist group. The police also discovered evidence that in at least a dozen cases, these powerful and prominent families had allowed their homes and/or property to be used as safe houses for Red Brigades cells. 

Peccei headed the Atlantic Institute's Economic Council for three decades, while he was the Chief Executive Officer for Giovanni Agnellis' Fiat Motor Company. Agnelli, a member of an ancient Italian Black Nobility family of the same name, was one of the most important members of the Committee of 300. He played a leading role in the development projects in the Soviet Union. The Club of Rome is a conspiratorial umbrella organization, a marriage between Anglo-American financiers and the old Black Nobility families of Europe, particularly the so-called "nobility" of London, Venice, and Genoa. The key to the successful control of the world is their ability to create and manage savage economic recessions, and eventual depressions. The Committee of 300 looks to social convulsions on a global scale, followed by depressions. A softening-up technique for bigger things to come, this is it's principal method of re-creating masses of people all over the world, who will eventually become its future "welfare" recipients. 

They introduce new cults, and continue to boost those already functioning - such as Rock music Mick Jagger's "Rolling Stones" (favored by European Black Nobility), and Tavistock- created "Rock" groups beginning with "The Beatles." They continue to build up the cult of Christian fundamentalism - begun by the British East India Company's servant Darby - which will be misused to strengthen the Zionist state of Israel. This is by Christians identifying with the "Jews" (actually Khazar Talmudists), through their myth of being "God's Chosen People"; and by donating very substantial amounts of money to what they mistakenly believe is a religious cause in the furtherance of Christianity. 

Zbigniew Brzezinski was not writing as a private citizen, but rather as Carter's National Security Advisor, a leading member of the Club of Rome, a member of the Committee of 300, a member of the CFR, and as a member of the old Polish Black Nobility. His book explains how America must leave its industrial base behind and enter into what he called "a distinct new historical era."
