According to Middle East Eye, on Saturday February 29th, reporting under their headline “Erdogan asks Putin to stand aside as Ankara deals with Syrian government forces”, Erdogan said in Istanbul that on Friday the 28th he had told Putin (presumably by phone or some other remote means) that, “We did not go there [into Syria’s Idlib Province] because we were invited by” Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad; but instead, “We went there because we were invited by the people of [Idlib Province of] Syria. We don’t intend to leave before the people of Syria say ‘okay, this is done’.” Thus, “Erdogan said he asked Putin to leave Turkey ‘to do what is necessary’ with the Syrian government.”

Poca cobertura se le dio al hecho en ese entonces o, al menos, no se le vinculó deliberadamente a su peligrosa investigación sobre los hechos del 9/11, pero la muerte de tres periodistas norteamericanos –luego de la desclasificación por el Congreso USA de las 28 páginas de documentos que implican a Arabia Saudita con los sucesos de ese fatídico día– en una misma semana, ha despertado nuevamente la sospecha de que las mismas no fueron casuales. Los tres periodistas norteamericanos estaban enfrascados en esclarecer el involucramiento de la inteligencia norteamericana en los atentados al World Trade Center.

Lo cierto es que en fechas cercanas –entre los días 11 y 12 de febrero del 2015– murieron Bob Simon, presentador del programa 60 minutos y corresponsal de la cadena CBS News; Ned Colt, corresponsal de la cadena NBC, y David Carr, periodista del diario The New York Times. El primero murió a causa de un sospechoso accidente de tránsito, mientras sus colegas murieron el mismo día 12: Carr de un infarto y Colt de un derrame cerebral.

Un mes antes los tres habían dado los pasos iniciales para investigar a fondo los sucesos del 9/11, junto a Brian Williams, tratando de obtener el visto bueno de Rusia para hurgar en sus archivos secretos todo aquello relacionado con los atentados de ese día.

La idea fue plasmar el resultado de su encuesta en un documental.

Hoy existen serias sospechas de que sus muertes fueron realizadas por la CIA, o con conocimiento de la misma, ante el temor de que apareciera públicamente la implicación de la administración norteamericana y se descubriera que fue un ataque de bandera falsa.

Self-determination is a universal right. Crimea is legally part of Russia, its population overwhelmingly voting by national referendum in March 2014 (by a 96.77% majority with an 83.1% turnout) to correct a historic mistake.
