Friends, you should go to the WEF, the notorious World Economic Forum in Davos, (21-24 January), where a 12 square-meter hotel room costs US$ 10,000 per night (if you don’t believe it, look it up on the internet), and where it’s totally normal that sharpshooters are everywhere on roof tops in subfreezing temperatures – to protect the about 3000 upper-echelons, of course – and that a huge section of the Zurich airport has been cordoned-off for the private planes of the ‘environmentally conscious elite’ — and where Trump arrived this morning, Tuesday, 21 January; and where the “plane-spotters” with their sophisticated binoculars and telescopes are practically camping in the airport areal — to be first when the airport gates are opened, for them to enter the airport terraces to “spot” the arriving VIP / CEO / celebrity private planes (you get the picture, it’s sort of like Black Friday, with the campers in front of the Walmart gates) – hundreds of private jets are expected – the normality of abject uselessness and decadence of the rich – and its acceptance and even glorification by the populace, is much more than George Orwell could have ever thought of when he wrote 1984 in 1948. The theme of Trump’s second Davos speech during his presidency was what he described at the beginning of his talk as “The Great American Comeback”, a point that he returned to time and again to emphasize the fact that he fulfilled his promise to “Make America Great Again”.

Is this a way to send back to Afghanistan five top Taliban leaders who have been “re-conditioned” and “turned” in Guantanamo and are now working for the US? Is this a move against the “unloyal” President Karzai & his successors? The Taliban leadership has been, reportedly, decimated by the drones assassinations. It is not difficult to imagine what will happen with the arrival of five of the very top Taliban political leaders after many years of detention in Guantanamo: The creation of a new leadership. 

Why would the US do that after having spent so much money and blood trying to decapitate the Taliban elite and, reportedly, succeeding? You need terrorists to sustain the “war on terrorism”?


Officially, the sudden decision was taken by President Obama to rescue Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl who has been in the hands of the Taliban since 2009 and who allegedly left voluntarily to the point that many of his fellow colleague are accusing him of “desertion”. There are reports that Bergdhal did not want to leave his captivity.
If the reason of the exchange was to spare the sergeant further pain and suffering, or to give a signal that no US soldier is left behind — then why wasn’t Bergdhal freed before? Why are now – right now – the five Taliban leaders returned to an Afghanistan deprived of leaders?  Is there any connection with the increasing Afghanistan willingness to forge closer links with BRICS, China, and Russia? Is there any connection with the recently established good contacts between Pakistan and Russia to the point that Russia lifted his arms embargo on Pakistan immediately before the announced Five Taliban liberation? 

Is this a [desperate] way to keep some form of “strategic” presence in an area where both India and Pakistan are taking the distances from the Anglo-Americans and are looking at the BRICS instead? Is this a way to slow down the recognition that Brzezinski & Co. have lost Central Asia’s Great game?

Informe Anual #DerechosHumanos 2013 #Ecuador

No nos toma de sorpresa semejante informe, era de esperarse de una país siniestro y gobernado por fuerzas oscuras. Nos deja sin cuidado lo que digan o dejen de decir los “policías”, perdón, los criminales del mundo.

Lo que hay que analizar es que sectores ecuatorianos, ignorantes asalariados, políticos de taberna, civiles carentes de conocimiento, crean y aúpen estos informes, esto es lo peligroso.

Ya lo escupió un mercachifle de apellido Peñaherrera Solah, intentando comparar al derrocado y asesinado líder libio Gaddafi con el gobierno actual. Estos seres no tienen escrúpulos, la ira, la envidia, la falta de poder les brota por los poros, y hay gente que apoya a estos tipos y los retrasmite en las famosas redes sociales.

El pueblo quiteño cayó en la trampa, permanecen adormilados, aletargados, es hora de despertar y estar vigilantes con el gobierno fascista que gobernará la capital de los ecuatorianos. Detrás de la carita de joven de Rodas, están mafiosos visibles y otros tras las sombras.

Ecuador responde al informe anual 2013 sobre Derechos Humanos

En relación al Informe Anual 2013 sobre Derechos Humanos, publicado recientemente por el Departamento de Estado de los Estados Unidos, el Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores y Movilidad Humana del Ecuador manifiesta lo siguiente:

Esta Cancillería rechaza las críticas unilaterales vertidas en esta materia contra el Ecuador por parte de los Estados Unidos, país que presenta, además, un pobre historial en lo que respecta al cumplimiento de los Derechos Humanos en los últimos años, para lo cual vale la pena recordar, entre otros, los siguientes ejemplos: las detenciones ilegales, inexistencia de procesos judiciales y las torturas en la cárcel de Guantánamo; la persistencia de la aplicación de la pena de muerte; el ilegal y criminal bloqueo a Cuba, repudiado por toda la comunidad internacional; la utilización de aviones no tripulados para asesinar a centenares de ciudadanos, sin mediar procesos judiciales ni debido proceso, alrededor del mundo; la persistencia de la impunidad para los responsables de la invasión a Irak, con argumentos falsos reconocidos por las propias autoridades estadounidenses, y que significó la muerte de centenares de miles de ciudadanos inocentes.

En vez de malbaratar su tiempo elaborando listas antojadizas sobre países que según su visión sesgada violan los derechos humanos en el mundo, conducta que ha sido rechazada por la Comunidad de Estados Latinoamericanos y Caribeños CELAC, en la II Cumbre de enero 2014, bien haría Estados Unidos en preocuparse por ratificar, al menos, cinco instrumentos internacionales: a) la Convención Americana de Derechos Humanos (Pacto de San José); b) la Convención Universal contra la Tortura; c) la Convención Universal sobre los Derechos del Niño; d) la Convención Internacional sobre los Derechos de los Trabajadores Migrantes y sus Familiares y e) la Convención de Viena sobre Derecho de los Tratados, entre otros instrumentos del Derecho Internacional, de forma que ese país pueda integrarse así, en una posición de igualdad frente al resto de Estados, a los sistemas multilaterales de protección y promoción de los derechos humanos.

Es necesario recalcar que, además de impulsar con verdadero compromiso y eficiencia el respeto a los derechos humanos, el Estado ecuatoriano ha suscrito y ratificado la totalidad de las instrumentos interamericanos de protección de los derechos humanos, mientras que los Estados Unidos, que con la elaboración de su “informe” pretende convertirse en juzgador del resto de países, no ha suscrito ninguno de dichos instrumentos, demostrando en la práctica su ninguna preocupación por el establecimiento de un verdadero sistema de protección y defensa regional de los derechos humanos. 

Esta otra noticia tampoco deja de causar sorpresa y risa. Para analizarla detenidamente y con los ojos muy, muy abiertos. Despertemos de una vez.
