A disturbing scene in the 2014 movie Kingsman: The Secret Service features the hero killing an entire congregation inside a Baptist-style church in the Southern U.S. similar to the one in Texas. 

On November 5th, Devin Kelley entered the First Baptist Church of a small town in Texas during the Sunday service, while wearing a skull mask and a ballistic vest. Armed with a Ruger AR-556 rifle and two handguns, Kelley fired into the crowd, killing 26 people, including several children.

Not unlike several mass shooters in the past, Devin Kelley had served in the military for some time, including a 12-month stint in confinement.

Kelley was once a member of the US Air Force, spokeswoman Ann Stefanek said. He served in logistics readiness at Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico, starting in 2010.

Kelley was court-martialed in 2012 for two counts of Article 128 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, assault on his spouse and assault on their child, Stefanek said. Kelley received a bad conduct discharge, confinement for 12 months and a reduction in rank, she said. The Air Force did not provide a date of the discharge.

Various accounts about Kelley are surfacing in mass media. Some news reports state that he was an “aggressive atheist” who often took to social media. His Linkedin profile states that he was an ex–Bible studies teacher, which is somewhat contradictory with shooting up a church. Both his family and his wife had strong ties to the church.

According to a profile on Indeed.com, Kelley’s wife was a “teacher for toddlers” at First Baptist of Sutherland Springs from June of 2009 to March of 2013. Her responsibilities included teaching the children about God, helping with “their life stones that are needed,” and being a “positive influence in their life,” the page stated.

New police reports state that Kelley had “issues” with his mother-in-law who usually attends the church, but she was not present that day.

So what truly motivated the shooter to kill? Could he have been programmed in the military to carry out this horrific mission? The public was certainly programmed to witness it.

Texas Kids Told 'It's Illegal' to Sell Lemonade Without a Permit

Sisters Andria and Zoey Green started a lemonade stand to raise money to get their dad a Father's Day gift,  

Two young sisters with an "entrepreneurial spirit" set up a lemonade stand in Overton, Texas, to raise money for their dad's Father's day gift, their mom said. 

But Andria and Zoey Green's business closed abruptly Monday after police came by to tell them their stand was illegal without a city Peddler's Permit, according to Overton Police Department Chief Clyde Carter. 

"It's illegal to sell lemonade without a permit," Carter told ABC News today. "But we didn't tell them to shut down, we just asked them to get a permit." 

The girls' mother, Sandi Evans, said they went to try to get a Peddler's Permit at City Hall, but found out they'd have to get licensed by the Rusk County Health Department before being allowed a Peddler's Permit.

The Rusk County Health Department did not immediately respond to ABC News' request for additional information including specific details about the process for getting a permit to sell lemonade. 

"Once we found out everything we would have to go through, we just decided to stop technically selling the lemonade," Evans told ABC News today. "The girls are still going to have the stand, but they're just going to ask for donations instead." 

Andria, 8, and Zoey, 7, are going to open up stand again Saturday, and a lot of locals and even people outside the community are planning on coming to support them, she added. 

Chief Carter told ABC News that asking for donations for lemonade isn't illegal and isn't a problem. 

After news stations covered the story, many businesses have showed support for the girls in the form of donations and freebies, their mom said. 

"We received free passes to Splash Kingdom, where the girls wanted to take their dad for Father's Day," Evans said. "We got them from the owners of the theme park and then again from a radio station." 

The girls have also collected $200 in donations after they temporarily closed up shop, Evans added. 

"We do have so many positives coming out of this, and since I don't feel right keeping the money now that they got their dad's gift for free, we're going to give away the extra tickets and set up scholarships with the donations they've collected," she said. "We're going to give the scholarship to a local graduating high school senior majoring in business management."

Followers of ISIS had been sending messages about the event in Texas for more than a week, calling for attacks. One referenced January’s Charlie Hebdo massacre in France and said it was time for “brothers” in the United States to do their part.

Simpson was well known to the FBI. Five years ago he was convicted for lying to federal agents about his plans to travel to Africa where investigators alleged he planned to join a terror group.

The investigation into Simpson reached back to July 2007, when he was recorded saying of fighting with Islamists, “I know we can do it, man. But you got to find the right people that… Gotta have connects.”

Despite the event allegedly increasing chatter amongst “Islamic State” (ISIS) groups online, and despite the suspect Elton Simpson being long under FBI surveillance and even sentenced to 3 years of probation resulting from a terror-related investigation, he was still able to conveniently conspire and carry out an attack on a highly provocative propaganda stunt in the state of Texas.
