Who is really behind the war on food?

(NaturalHealth365)  See if you can count on one hand how many farmers you know, and then think for a second where every one of the meals you eat comes from.  We’re not talking about who cooks your meals or puts them together; consider the producer of the meat, dairy, fruits and vegetables, and packaged foods that you eat.  It is an almost certain bet that nearly everything you and your family eat comes from a massive corporation, and to make no mistakes, this is by design.

Years ago, you could grow food in your own yard, barter with your neighbors, trade crops and livestock, and see the faces of the farmers and butchers who gave you real food without GMOs and massive monopoly involvement.  But frankly, there is a war on our food supply, and some big names are leading the charge.

We are going to look at the largest groups that are actively making money, poisoning our food supply, and making it more difficult for you to get healthy, nutritious food for your family.  Sadly, this has been going on for decades.  But, with greater public awareness, we still have a chance to end this tragedy.

Here is how mega-corporations destroy our food supply

The first on this list of death dealers are mega-corporations like Bayer, Monsanto, The Rockefeller Group, and Cargill.

Monsanto, now under Bayer after an acquisition, is notorious for developing and selling genetically modified (GM) seeds, particularly for crops like corn and soybeans.  Farmers who purchase these GM seeds must agree to strict contracts that control how they use the seeds, including bans on saving seeds for replanting.  These contracts are aimed at safeguarding Monsanto’s monopoly over its GM seeds.

Trouble arises when GM seeds inadvertently spread to a farmer’s fields, often through natural factors like wind-borne pollen.  In such cases, Monsanto has aggressively pursued legal action against farmers found growing its patented seeds without a licensing agreement.  This has resulted in numerous legal battles where farmers face heavy penalties for alleged patent infringement.

Despite not being legally compelled to use GM seeds, Monsanto/Bayer’s dominance in the seed market, coupled with stringent contracts and the practical benefits of GM crops, creates a sense of limited choice among farmers.  Many feel pressured to use Monsanto’s seeds, fearing legal repercussions or economic disadvantage if they opt for non-GM alternatives.

Cargill has a complete stranglehold on meat manufacturing in the United States, with the backing of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).  The government prefers to have product standardized, and they seem to find it easier to enforce these standards when they are all being done by one massive company.  Cargill uses its extremely deep coffers to put local slaughterhouses out of business, forcing farmers to use their massive corporate meat processors instead, which are often booked a year in advance.

The Rockefellers are involved in the way that they are involved in everything, pushing Americans away from small companies, family farms, and independent businesses towards the conglomeration and monopolization that exists within massive corporations.  When you no longer have a choice, you are forced to buy from the biggest company around.  This is exactly what Walmart does when they move into an area.  Smaller companies simply cannot compete with the cutthroat cost-lowering tactics of companies under the Rockefeller group.  When the competition has died out, these companies raise their prices massively while providing you with poisonous food produced under inhumane conditions.

The Gates, WHO, and others

The Gates Foundation has bought up massive amounts of farmland in the United States.  When one company owns this much farmland, monoculture, GMOs, and other potential problems arise.  Many people already have a negative opinion of the Gates Foundation, but the real threat is one person, company, or board of directors owning so much fertile land and taking it away from family farms.

The World Health Organization (WHO) continues to push an agenda that is moving humanity away from eating animals and towards eating plants.  While factory farming is undoubtedly detrimental to animals, humans, and the environment, the WHO will only seek to further consolidate food production in the hands of the few rather than the many.

USAID (United States Agency for International Development) and BIFAD (Board for International Food and Agricultural Development) are two agencies designed ostensibly to give aid to other countries but have a suspicious history.  Conspiracy aside, these agencies are pushing an agenda to increase the consumption of insects as a primary means of supplementing protein over livestock.

Of course, we can’t forget the enormous influence of BlackRock and Vanguard – two index funds that have controlling interests in many of the biggest brands in the world.

Why are these entities pushing for this control?

These agencies, companies, and foundations are certainly striving towards this level of control over people’s lives.  If you control the food supply, you control the people – and one of the greatest injustices to humanity is taking away their agency to produce and provide for themselves.

While you cannot stand up to Bayer, Monsanto, or any of these other groups alone, you can get involved in grassroots campaigns to contact your legislation to help break up the monopolies that these companies have.

One of the best things you can do for yourself and your family is to grow your own food if possible.  Even a small garden can produce organic food that feeds your family, can be canned and preserved, and produces tons of heirloom seeds for future gardens and generations.

Buy organic food from your local farmers market and growing co-op, and even though it costs more, only get your meat from local farmers and butcheries.  That money stays in your local economy rather than going into the pockets of these corporations, benefiting your friends and family.

We are, unfortunately, in a society where we have to pay more and work harder to do the things that our grandparents and great-grandparents did naturally, but until the dynamic changes, you can still fight back with your purchasing dollars.
