BLOWOUT MOUNTAIN
Five days ago (August 8, 2015) an earthquake forecast warning was issued for possible M4.0 earthquake activity to strike Northwest Nevada.
Northwest Nevada has now been struck by a M4.2 earthquake in the exact area warned, the location near Bitner Butte, and Blowout Mountain.

The earthquake forecast issued August 8, 2015 covered the area of NW Nevada in detail, and and it covered the reasons why the region was expected to show movement.
Summed up, renewed craton pressure (coming from the West / Northwest) has displaced the North American plate, causing magma chambers on long dormant volcanic complexes to be slightly displaced.
This incoming pressure causes seismic activity to develop near dormant volcanoes, and oil/gas pumping operations. This movement in Nevada comes at the same time we’re seeing activity at the fracking operations in Texas.
