How to Prevent Autism: Expert Advice from Medical Professionals
A controversial book about how parents can prevent autism is sparking controversy amongst the mainstream herds. Over 3,000 people have signed a petition asking Amazon to ban the publication.
The book is written by author Dana Berger, whose son was diagnosed with autism. Berger believes the cause of her son’s autism is vaccines.
When asked about her views on vaccinations, Berger told Daily Mail Online: ‘I think as with all medical interventions it is a very personal choice, and parents need to decide what is best for their individual child.’
So far, her book’s sales on Amazon wouldn’t seem to amount to much, they are possibly lowering it in the search volume as opposed to straight up banning it. You can buy it here on Amazon (maybe leave a comment to help her if you believe in her cause).
Here author about section reads as follows:
She is also a documentary filmmaker who is currently working on a film about how to prevent chronic illness in children. Dara served as a Board Member and Co-Chair of the Programming Committee for the National Autism Association New York Metro Chapter for six years. She began her career as a news reporter/producer for a local nightly news program, and subsequently founded her own documentary film production company, Say It Out Loud Productions, Inc. to produce films on meaningful issues. She has recently completed the Institute for Integrative Nutrition’s health coach certificate program, which she hopes to use to help other families prevent chronic illness and autism in their children.
‘I respect anybody’s position including those that feel their autism is an integral part of their identity. However not everyone feels that way including myself,’ she said. ‘Many experts and parents believe that environmental factors contributed to their child being diagnosed with regressive autism.
‘I love my son more than anything in the world and he has suffered a lot with multiple medical conditions that are very common in children with autism. It is through the help of many wonderful practitioners that I have been able to help my son make an incredible amount of progress and minimize the risk of my daughter developing autism.
‘I want to share this information with as many people as possible in the hope that it will help them too. I wrote the book that I wish I had 12 years ago before my son was born.’
