A declassified White House document falsely accused Syria of the April 4 Kahn Sheikhoun CW attack it had nothing to do with - using fabricated intelligence and other disinformation sources.
No verifiable evidence was presented because none exists. Blaming Syria for what happened is a bald-faced lie. Clearly the April 4 incident was a US-sponsored terrorist attack.
In briefing reporters yesterday, an unnamed “senior administration official” lied, claiming the April 4 attack “came from (a) SU-22 fixed-wing aircraft out of the Shayrat airfield, which is regime controlled.”
The official lied, claiming Syrian personnel “associated with the (country’s) chemical weapons program were at Shayrat airfield in late March preparing for this attack.”
The official lied, claiming “(o)n the dates surrounding the attack, and the day of the attack, they were again present at that airfield.”
The official lied, claiming sarin was used. No credible investigation so far was conducted to determine what caused deaths and injuries. Forensic analysis is needed to learn what toxin was used.
